What made me become a hairdresser?
I was always at my best surrounded by people. I wanted to be a part of something where I could do just that whilst also expressing my creative side. It was actually a friend at school that planted the idea! I threw myself into an apprenticeship and from there my passion grew and brought me to where I am today.
What do you like about teaching?
I love being able to pass on my knowledge and watch the students grow, It drives me to keep evolving and better myself. To be in a position to help build their confidence and mentor them gives me a lot of satisfaction. I learn so much from them too!
Best advice for students?
Always keep yourself open to new things and be humble. The day we think we’re good enough is the day we stop learning.
I’m lucky to have a career that has enabled me to work abroad and brought so many exciting experiences. I’d have to say that joining the BIBA team definitely resonates with me. I’m proud to work alongside such talented and supportive people and for a company that offers so many opportunities
Where do you draw your inspiration from?
I get inspiration from many things. Music is always a part of everything that I do. Colour and light. My team and students would have to be my biggest influence!
