How were you introduced to BIBA Academy?
I was a student at Deakin University (BA in PR) living in Geelong looking for ways to save money. I came across an advertisement in The Age newspaper “Hair models Wanted”. I had natural mousey brown hair past my shoulders and was open to “anything”: Pavlos’s eyes lit up as I walked in and I walked out of the academy cropped and bleached. I had the most amazing experience and instantly felt like part of the BIBA family.
What do you like about working at BIBA Academy?
Its culture and its constant evolution.
Best advice for students?
Do what you love. And love what you do.
Career highlight so far?
There are too many too choose from, but I do enjoy travelling overseas with Pavlos and the BIBA team: London to see Sassoon’s Academy and check out Hair Expo. Italy to experience Cosmoprof. Berlin to watch the Trend Vision international finals.
Where do you draw your inspiration from?
It’s impossible not to draw inspiration from the guru himself, Director Pavlos. He’s all about “moving to the next level” and continuous improvement. It’s great to be around somebody who is not afraid of change.
